Once again the Middleton sisters are in the news!

We already know that any piece of high street clothing seen on these two will sell out within minutes of being identified – but now, could Pippa and Kate be responsible for an influx of ladies buying something that was part of a rather unstylish trend? One writer said that this particular item is why neither of the Middleton sisters would ever be style icons… I’m talking about their penchant for flesh-coloured hosiery!!

Pippa and Kate are champion of the nude tight, but more recently the Duchess of Cambridge dared to don some almost invisible tights during her recent trip to the Epsom Derby; meanwhile Pippa has been seen wearing a high-shine version for a night out in Paris last month.

According to press, sales in nude tights have soared up by 85% within the past year – could this be a direct result of Middleton Mania? A few other suggested reasons for the increase in sales include fear of over-exposure of legs to the sun’s harmful rays and an attempt to bridge the awkward trans-seasonal gap between winter’s opaques and the bar legs of spring and summer.

Personally the only tights I wear are fishnets! I cannot stand “normal” tights – they’re like nails down a chalk board for me – but what do you think? Do you like nude tights or not?
